Fabíola Fernandez

Fabíola Fernandez (*1977) has been CFO of the management board of SMS group since 2024.

Fabíola Fernandez was born in São Paulo, Brazil and studied law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo. She gained her master’s degree in European and German law at Berlin’s Humboldt-Universität. She held various senior man- agement positions at the German mining group K+S AG (a DAX/ MDAX company), where she worked internationally in Germany, Canada, USA, Chile, Brazil, and Peru. She has served as Director of International Taxation, Managing Director of K+S Finance Bel- gium, CFO Latin America, and VP Controlling & Finance Potash Business.

Before joining SMS group, Fabíola Fernandez worked as CFO and co-CEO of Gegenbauer Holding SE & Co. KG, one of Germany’s leading facility management companies.
